I understand that there are potential risks involved with any activity involving kids having fun and learning about Jesus! EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT: In the event my child sustains an injury or illness while at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church for VBS, I give permission for first aid to be administered as needed. I understand the VBS staff will contact me (the parent/guardian) or my listed emergency contact as soon as possible. In the event my child has a significant injury requiring emergency services I give permission for emergency services to be contacted and that all emergency services will be paid by me.

BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS: I understand that my son/daughter cannot bring any personal belongings that would not be beneficial to this event (such as cell phones, video games, toys, food - due to allergy concerns, etc.). I understand that Cross of Hope will not be responsible for any personal items that are lost or broken while at VBS. In the case that a child struggles to make good decisions and doesn’t respond to gentle correction and redirection from VBS volunteers, parents may be contacted. Children and their parents/guardians are responsible for any damages caused by inappropriate behavior.

Wondering what Family VBS looks like? First, it is a night of fun for the whole family! A free-will offering dinner will be served between 5-5:45 PM (parents will be responsible for their kids during dinner time) followed by 15 minutes of family worship (songs, skits, Bible Story) then kids break off into 3 stations for one hour (crafts, games/science, storytelling) while the parents have options (fellowship/, volunteer/attend at the kids stations or fellowship/free time (you may mix it up during the week). Our theme is Road Trip, a curriculum from Cokesbury, which will help us connect with God and one another through crafts, games, science, music & story time.
